draw a clocktower, a birthday party, and a snowman
an Advent challenge
We have not forgotten the Advent challenge in the spirit of Lynda Barry’s “draw a Batman” exercise. We have merely embraced its true meaning: lawlessness.
One night Fiona suggested a clocktower. I got really confused and thought they might have weathervanes on top? Do they?? This one does.
Here’s Fiona’s, with a little heart.
And Ben’s also with a little heart. Looks very structurally sound.
The next night the challenge was a birthday party. Fiona's has it all. “A guy hiding under a table and he is happy because he is going to steal a shooting star.”
Ben captured birthday parties of the past. From left to right: me yesterday, Fiona at her 2nd birthday standing on a chair, Ben at her 1st birthday with a mask on.
I also thought of a birthday party of the past.
And finally: tonight’s challenge. A snowman. Here is Ben’s. Classic, with a shadow at the bottom.
Here is Fiona’s. Look at her go!! That's a snowman if I ever saw one!
Mine is a guy who has buried himself in snow in a valiant effort to make his step-kids think he is fun.
To be continued.
